Taylor is the owner and head coach at Fort Fitness. Taylor specializes in individual development, improving human movement, and producing some fun and effective group classes!

A Bit About Taylor

Taylor was born and raised a Hoosier. He was a three-sport athlete in high school and played football at the collegiate level while graduating from the University of Saint Francis with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration concentrating in Sports Management. Taylors’ interests include fitness, mountains, water sports, family and friends, and coffee. 

Taylor has been pursuing gym ownership since 2016 and has experienced just about every role that exists in the fitness industry from part-time coach, full-time coach, personal trainer, head coach, and manager. Alongside his experience, Taylor has continued his education year after year acquiring certifications from OPEX, CrossFit, and USA weightlifting. Taylor has been mentored by Jeff Edwards of Broad Ripple Fit Club, Nick Fowler and Matt Bruce of Brute Strength. Taylor has logged thousands of hours coaching group classes and coaching competitive individuals on a 1-on-1 basis. He heads the CrossFit class programming at Fort Fitness as well as the personalized programming side of the gym. 

Fred Golden

Fred enjoys incorporating his enthusiasm and knowledge into his coaching craft in classes and 1-on-1 sessions. Fred's ultimate goal is to help individuals move better, become stronger, and live a healthier life.

A Bit About Fred

Fred grew up in Indiana, where exercise and fitness were first introduced as an integral part of life in the offseason months of sports. His passion for fitness and coaching grew when he was in college, realizing the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle.


Fred has been coaching and training CrossFit for over ten years. He coached at Broad Ripple Fit Club for the better part of those ten years and was mentored by Jeff and Jessi Edwards during his time at BRFC. Having spent time competing in both CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting, Fred has used his knowledge and experience from sport to evolve his coaching craft. He is excited to continue helping others achieve their fitness and wellness goals alongside a longtime friend and head coach of Fort Fitness, Taylor Hastings.


Fred is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force as a firefighter. Fred is the father of a beautiful son and is excited to coach and empower him with healthy lifestyle habits.
